The Gift of Giving

Why is it so important to remember? Well, to be honest, we as humans tend to forget and forget quickly. Remembering the depth of our sin that we were rescued from reminds us to be diligent in our desire to be obedient to Him. We all know how life can be difficult as we suffer with pain, loss, sickness and addictions. When we were on our journey without Him, we were trudging through life trying to figure it all out without hope, without His wisdom, and without the help of the Holy Spirit.

However, remembering where we came from when we were lost to sin and then remembering the joy of His salvation through His sacrificial blood—there is no greater delight. Now we know He has never left us, He has never abandoned us, and He has removed the weight of our sin-filled lives. Most importantly, He has given us the gift of the Holy Spirit to dwell in us to help us walk in the light.

Do you remember what your life was like before Jesus? I do, and it’s not a pleasant memory. Honestly, I don’t ever want to forget where I was, because I never want to go back there again. I want to dwell in His presence. I want to be wrapped in His love. I want to show and tell others how Jesus is waiting on them to come to Him and find this same peace I have—the peace that can only come from the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

This is what One Kingdom is all about! Striving to share the good news of our Lord and Savior to a lost and broken world. We are working hard to tell billions of people in their own language—across the globe—the joy of His salvation. These efforts to spread the good news of Jesus are monumental. Truly, it’s a huge task, but it’s a task we at One Kingdom have vowed to take on.

Trust me, Satan will throw every dart he has to stop the work here. He will try every trick in the book to knock us down and get our focus off of lost souls. But by God’s great grace, we do not rely on ourselves. We rely on the blood of Jesus, and with Him at the helm, we will keep putting one foot forward until we all reach the foot of the cross.

Please, won’t you consider helping us at One Kingdom to continue the work of the Great Commission? Thank you and God bless!
