Building a Legacy
Everything has been made possible by the power of God and by the love He has placed in you to contribute to this noble cause for the expansion of the Gospel. I first thank God for all that he has allowed in my life, because I am sure both good and evil has collaborated for the good of my spiritual life.
South America's Refugee Crisis
Immigrants are a floating population. It is estimated that about 4,500 Venezuelans cross into Colombia every day. Of these, somewhere between 1,500 and 2,000 decide to stay, while another 1,000-1,500 end up traveling to other countries.
An Interview with Hannah Daye
The Restoration Skills Training Center began in June 2018. From June 2018 to present, the school has enrolled 96 students in total. One of the main purposes is to empower women with skills that will help them build wealth through business.
A Journey Into Truth
In my life’s journey, I have wrestled to understand truth. There is a big world out there, filled with religions, philosophies, cultures, and languages. However, in the journey, I recognized truth, because truth found me.
Actions and Words
In our culture, sincerity, integrity, and truth itself are quickly becoming scarce. Often, the mere appearance of morality and virtue is what is upheld—regardless of whether we follow through with it or not. This is at odds with the Judeo-Christian ethic upon which Western civilization is founded.
Love in Action
Everyone seems to be for love until you define it according to God’s word. Our culture is full of voices claiming for equality and love, yet actions of inequality and lack of love seem to be the loudest voices in the room. I don’t think it’s absolutely necessary to understand the different Greek words for love for a better understanding. After all, Paul said in Ephesians 3:19 that the love of Christ surpasses knowledge.
The Emergence of Livestreaming
The 2020 global pandemic has changed a lot of things for all of us. In many ways, this COVID-19 outbreak has thrust us all out of our comfort zones and into new challenges. The church has been no different.
Helping the Hopeless in Iowa
On August 10, 2020 a derecho blew across the state of Iowa with 100+ MPH winds. This ‘super storm’ devastated the corn crops and damaged homes, businesses, and brought down trees all along the I-80 corridor. The next morning, One Kingdom got a call from one of our members who was in Marshalltown, Iowa, and we began figuring out how to get help to that community.

In the Southern Province of Zambia, the rains have been in short supply for about three years now. The people in this area have tried to grow maize, which is the staple food, but the crop has failed year in and year out. The major problem is the insufficient rains, but equally the soils have been depleted of its fertility over a period of time. And in these three years people have had to face and deal with all the challenges from insufficient harvests.
Love from Afar
God is love. This sentence completely changed my life. I first heard “God is love” while living in Iran as a bewildered Muslim. I never knew God, Himself, is love.
The Golden Rule
We have all heard about the Golden Rule: “Treat others as you would have them treat you.” Christ famously imparts this bit of wisdom in passages contained in the books of Matthew and Luke. However, two millennia later, it seems as if we humans are still having a problem grasping this concept, doesn’t it?
COVID Update: India
Fear of the coronavirus pandemic has been on the rise, and many problems related to it have surfaced here in India. However, we have kept our hearts in steadfast prayer, and we are keeping our trust and hope in our Lord.
COVID Update: Benin
Coronavirus, COVID-19, hand sanitizers, self-quarantine, mandatory quarantine, asymptomatic, face masks, PPEs, ventilators, lockdown, social distancing etc. are some new words that have entered our vocabulary since the beginning of 2020.
The Mystery of Hope
The words we use are powerful. Yet we often use them without giving any thought to what they actually mean. We live in a world filled with an ocean of words… we literally swim around in them every day. We say one thing, when we truly mean something totally different. In short, we stand and fall by the thoughts and intentions conveyed by the words we use, not only to others, but to ourselves as well. It’s a mystery.
COVID Update: Kenya
The world has never been tested like what we have witnessed of late, when COVID-19 spread like a bush fire across the globe causing deaths in the thousands and suffering among all populations of the earth.
What's Next?
I listen to the people who get paid to talk on national TV, and I hear their version of hope. They “hope” that their political candidate gets elected. They “hope” that the economy rebounds and their 401k’s are replenished. They “hope” they don’t get the coronavirus or cancer. The crowd I run with “hope” they limit out on ducks or catch enough white perch for a fish fry.
Disciple: Who I Am and What I Do
When someone asks me about our One Kingdom ministry, they usually want to know what we do. Our ministry is not only what we do, but who we are. We are disciples of Christ. Our identity in Christ determines our actions in ministry.
An Update from Eric Kee in Tuba City, AZ
We feel COVID-19 has been a real challenge for the Navajo Nation, as it is growing at a very high rate per capita. Some of those reasons are due to a lack of information, lack of technology resources (adequate internet, up-to-date news), lack of personal protective equipment, lack of hospital staff, and lack of running water for proper hygiene, just to name a few.
Living Out The Great Commission
How are we to live out this great decree? Perhaps we can start by being patient, and serving and listening to our fellow human beings—even people we might view as our enemies—and by showing them the kind of selfless love that has been bestowed upon us.
